How do I register to vote?  

If you have a valid Utah ID or driver's license visit voter.utah.gov to register or update your registration.  If you don’t have a valid Utah ID or driver’s license, mail in this form to your county clerk by October 3rd

 

Who can register to vote?  

Anyone who is a US Citizen, has been a resident of Utah for at least 30 days, and will be 18 years old on or before the election. 16 and 17 year olds can pre-register to vote in Utah. 

 

How do I check my voter registration status?

Visit voter.utah.gov or call your county clerk’s office. 

 

How do I get my ballot?  

Ballots will be mailed between Oct 13th and Oct 27th by county clerks. If you are registered and eligible to vote, you will have a ballot mailed to your address.  

 

When should I mail in my ballot?  

Ballots must be postmarked the day before Election Day; make sure your ballot is in the mail by November 2nd. You can also drop off ballots at drop boxes across the county, just ensure they are deposited by 8:00 PM on Election Day. 

 

Can I vote in person? 

Each county has discretion, Utah County will be conducting early voting in person October 28-30 and November 2nd from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 100 East Center Street, Suite 3100, Provo, Utah 84606. 

 

How do I know my ballot is received?

Visit vote.utah.gov and click on the “track my mail or provisional ballot” icon. You’ll be able to see the status of your ballot and if it has been processed. 

 

How do I vote in person?  

You need a state-issued ID to vote in person. Click here to view alternate ID requirements. 

 

Do I need an absentee ballot?  

If you live in Utah and plan to vote by mail, you just need to ensure that you’re registered to vote. Absentee ballots are for those who cannot be present at the polls. 2020 is different than past years, everyone in Utah will be voting by mail with limited options to vote in person.

You should plan to vote at your most permanent address. If that’s Utah, see “How do I register to vote?” at vote.utah.gov. If that’s another state, visit vote411.org for specific information.
